Mr Lindfield performs cataract surgery on a day case (outpatient) basis. You do not need to be admitted to hospital and certainly not stay overnight.
Under the curren DoH (Department of Health) guidelines you do not need to self isolate or perform a COVID swab prior to your surgery. Such measures are not required for "amber" day case procedures.
However, guidelines can change and this information may be out of date. Up to date recommendations will be discussed by Mr Lindfield and his team during your appointment.
Mr Lindfield can call you on the telephone to discuss your eye condition, your medical history, medications and allergies. He will explain the procedure in as much detail as you wish. This means when COVID measures are lifted a short appointment will be required prior to surgery.
Using FaceTime, Skype or Zoom, Mr Lindfield can meet virtually with you to discuss your needs, concerns and questions about cataract surgery.
He has 17 years of Ophthalmology experience and a friendly, patient centred approach to eye care.
Be added to our priority list so your surgery can be scheduled as soon as standard medical services resume.
