Developed visual clouding months or years after cataract surgery or Refractive Lens Exchange? Don’t worry, this is very common. A process called Posterior Capsular Opacification (PCO) is the build up of cloudy cells behind the lens implant. These cells are opaque and block clear light passage through the lens. It is sometimes called “after cataract”. A painless, two-minute laser procedure performed seated in a chair can permanently rectify this cloudy build up safely and effectively. It does not need repeating. Once lasered, these cells cannot return.
